Absolutely fantastic Ganesha pendant from Rajasthan India. At least 100 years old this is a powerful piece. The pendant and beads are old but the necklace that they are strung on is new, I had them made in Jaipur. It is adjustable. Everyone I showed this to in India admired it greatly.

Ganesha is one of the best-known and most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon.
Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.

A sacred, powerful charm, it is believed to offer the wearer protection.

The amulet has been strung on an adjustable turquoise necklace of cotton.

This is an original old worn collection piece in good condition. I have not cleaned the amulet to highlight the beautiful details of the workmanship, as some prefer it to be left in its original condition.
